Shareef, son of former American professional basketball player Shaquille ONeal, looked a lot taller than his mother, Shaunie, in new photos posted on his Instagram feed.

Shareef O'Neal, the son of former American professional basketball player Shaquille ONeal, stood two heads taller than his mother, television star Shaunie O'Neal, in recent photos on hisInstagramaccount.

In the pictures, the mother and son were seen backing one another as they posed for the camera. Shareef was dressed in a black short-sleeved shirt and a pair of neon-green shorts coupled with similar colored designer sneakers.

He finished the look with a black face cap turned to the back and double gold necklaces. His mother, on the other hand, looked rather stylish in an ash-colored T-shirt and ripped blue jeans.

She coupled the ensemble with a multicolored long-sleeve shirt tied around her waist, a white pair of sneakers, and huge black sunshades. Her dark braided hair was styled to the side, and she had on gold bracelets and earrings.

Shareefs intricate arm and leg tattoo were for all to see as the pair posed outside. In 2019, the 20-year-old showed the world just how much he loved his mother when he had one of her selfies tattooed on his arm.

The TV startook to her Instagramand posted the photo of the tattoo on her feed, admitting that she was literally speechless at her sons show of love. The tattoo was a perfect replica of the 45-year-old, and it was done by Canadian tattoo artist Steve Weibe.

In 2018, the loving mothers heart ached for her son when she posted photos of him in the hospital when he was about toundergo heart surgery. She revealed that watching him go into the operating room was by far the toughest moment of her life as a mother.

Three months before, Shareef made the shocking announcement that he needed to undergo the surgery. He saidhe hadbeen feeling"funny after basketball practice, and after tests, his doctors revealed that he had a life-threatening heart condition.

Two years later, the fast-rising basketball player has made a full recovery and seems to be doing well for himself. After playing for UCLA for a while, he decided to follow in his fathers footsteps.

He announced in March that he wastransferringto Louisiana State Universitys basketball program. Shaquille, in his time, played for the same school, and Shareef is evidently ready to fill in his shoes.

Shareef is, however, not Shaquilles only child. The former basketball starhas five kids; one with his ex-girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh, and four with his now ex-wife, Shaunie. The couple divorced in 2010 after eight years of marriage.

After the split,Shaquille hascontinuedto test the dating waters. Between 2010 and 2012, he dated reality TV star Nicole Hoopz Alexander. In 2019, he was spotted holding hands with American actress Annie Ilonzeh. Their status is, however, undetermined.
